Fig Trees 2006

The subjects of these pictures are all in and around Brisbane.  They explore the intertwined existences of people and trees in the landscape and over time.  The fig trees are of two groups - indigenous ones and species introduced from India by British colonists.  Both kinds probably evolved on the same landmass,  before Australia and the Indian subcontinent were separated.
